    Overview

    These simple to use integrated peltier stages are built into the manually operated XY table of the upright microscope. The thermoelectrical temperature controlled element is perfectly inline with the surface of the XY table ensuring that short working distance, high numerical aperture condensers can still be used.

    The specially designed slide holder enables enough XY sample manipulation to see the virtually the entire cover slip. With 0.1°C accurate temperature control, the integrated peltier stages are ideally suited to applications requiring high magnification, high resolution objective and condenser combinations, such as in cell biology and high magnification pharmaceutical work.

    Olympus

    This simple to use integrated peltier stage is built into the manually operated XY table of the BX series microscope. The thermoelectrical temperature controlled element is perfectly inline with the surface of the XY table ensuring that short working distance, high numerical aperture condensers can still be used.

    Linkam can supply the Olympus XY table fully modified with integrated peltier element or can modify customers existing XY table.

    Nikon

    This simple to use integrated peltier stage is built into the manually operated XY table of the Eclipse series microscopes. The thermoelectrical temperature controlled element is perfectly inline with the surface of the XY table ensuring that short working distance, high numerical aperture condensers can still be used.

    Linkam can supply the Nikon XY table fully modified with integrated peltier element or can modify customers existing XY table.

    Using Oil Immersion Lenses

    Oil immersion lenses require contact with the sample and hence act as a large heat sink drawing heat out of the sample into the lens. Microscope stages cannot control sample temperature when oil immersion lenses are used unless the lens temperature is controlled independently.

    The PE-CFI60 System is required when used the Nikon CFI Plan Apochromat 60X oil immersion lens. The peltier controlled lens jacket ensures that the lens is at the same temperature as the sample when making contact with the immersion oil. A separate PE95-LinkPad is supplied with this system.

    Zeiss

    This simple to use integrated peltier stage is built into the manually operated XY table of the Zeiss Axioimager or Axioskop series microscope. The thermoelectrical temperature controlled element is perfectly inline with the surface of the XY table ensuring that short working distance, high numerical aperture condensers can still be used.

    Linkam can supply the Zeiss XY table fully modified with integrated peltier element or can modify customers existing XY table.

    Note On Using Oil Immersion Lenses

    For any microscope temperature control work, dry lenses will enable the best temperature control. Oil immersion lenses require contact with the sample and hence act as a large heat sink drawing heat out of the sample into the lens. Microscope stages cannot control sample temperature when oil immersion lenses are used unless the lens temperature is controlled independently.

    The PE-EC63 or PE-ZEPL63 Systems are required when using either the Zeiss EC Plan Apochromat or Plan Apochromat 63X oil immersion lenses. The peltier controlled lens jacket ensures that the lens is at the same temperature as the sample when making contact with the immersion oil. A separate PE95-LinkPad is supplied with this system.
