The Series 2500 Vibration Isolation Table has been very well received. It is lightweight yet rigid. The table’s modular construction makes it very easy for us to assemble and ship a standard table from the size selection chart in two weeks.
With the addition of the new Series 320 Vibration Isolation Bearings, a wider range of payloads can be isolated making it easier to add and remove microscope accessories.
And, as always, the isolation is only where you need it - - beneath the instrument. You are free to locate this area on the left-hand side, right-hand side, or in the center.
This table is available in widths from 30” to 72” wide. The isolation area can be placed on the left hand side, the right-hand side, or in the center as is shown in this picture.
Options available: Keyboard tray, shelves, cable and power management features, monitor stand and casters. |
Applications for this Platform
Vistek designed the Lab Isolation Platform specifically for lab balances, Petri dishes, and other small lab equipment and devices.
- Balances are susceptible to environmental vibrations created by HVAC equipment, elevators, automobile traffic and foot-traffic, shakers, and other equipment in the area.
- Similarly, vibrations shake the contents of a Petri dish and disrupt important research.
Lightweight and easy to set-up, the Vistek LIP isolates balances and other sensitive instruments and equipment from vibrations, and it reduces the transmission of vibrations from equipment into the work environment. |

Vistek manufactures exceptionally rigid, elegant, lightweight tables designed for the microscope user. Vibration isolation is provided only where you need it - - recessed within the table and directly beneath the microscope. Consequently, the rest of the table is available as a work area.
The microscope or other piece of equipment is isolated with Vistek Vibration Isolation Bearings (VIBs). The VIBs support a platform, upon which your instrument sits, manufactured from powder-coated steel and the same material used for the tabletop surface providing for a clean consistent appearance.
Since the isolation bearings are passive, mechanical, and maintenance free, there are no air hoses, supporting hardware, or off-gassing components.
The table is available in a large selection of sizes ranging from 30” wide to 72” wide. Furthermore, the following options are available:

Monitor arm |

General Description
Rigid, elegant, lightweight table comprised of engineered aluminum extrusions and designed for the microscope user. Vibration isolation is provided only where you need it - - beneath the microscope and recessed within the table. The non-isolated tabletop area is available as a workspace. The tabletop is a chemically resistant composite material.
The microscope is isolated with Vistek Series 320 Vibration Isolation Bearings (VIB300s). The VIB300 is a passive, mechanical, six degree-of-freedom, 3 Hz bearing. The VIB320 possess high damping (13%), insuring fast settling time in the event of impact vibrations.
The isolated platform is recessed within the table making it easier both to use the microscope and the rest of the table without inadvertently setting the isolated platform into motion. Consequently, cumbersome armrests are not necessary.
The table frame is anodized for corrosion and scratch protection.
Since the isolation bearings are passive, mechanical, and maintenance free, there are no air hoses, supporting hardware, or off-gassing components.
Lightweight and easy to set-up, the Vistek LIP isolates balances and other sensitive instruments and equipment from vibrations, and it reduces the transmission of vibrations from equipment into the work environment.

Contents
Table frame with four Series 320 Vibration Isolation Bearings (bearings) bolted to the cross bars beneath the tabletop surface.
A box that contains: (1) A 15.00” x 25.00” platform (the “Isolated Platform” or “Platform”); (2) DVD/CD containing video setup instructions (for use in the event these written instructions are not clear). (See Pic. No. 1 for photo of table frame and Platform sitting on the side of the table.) |

Assembly Instructions
Remove table frame and place it where it is to be located. The table was leveled at the Vistek factory so no further leveling should be required. Remove the platform from the box.
Remove the tape that holds the bearings in place.
The bearings are mounted to crossbars as part of a height adjustment assembly. When the table is shipped, the assembly is adjusted to the lowest height. The assembly is adjusted by turning the round, knurled portion.
Place the Isolated Platform (weighs 48 Lbs./22 Kg) on top of the bearings with the steel side facing down. Slide the Platform into place as far as possible and then lift the Platform into position by placing a hand on the underside of the Platform. (See Pic. Nos. 2 & 3.) Center the Platform in the hole in the tabletop hole so that there is approximately 3/8” gap on all sides of the Platform between the Platform and the tabletop.
Place the instrument on the Platform. Placing the instrument on the Platform deflects the bearings. Check to see whether the top of the Platform is flush with the tabletop and whether the four bearings have deflected the same amount. If one or more bearings have deflected more or less than another, then the Platform will not be level. The height of each bearing and thus of the Platform can be adjusted by turning the bearing leveler assembly. (Pic. No. 4) The Platform can be brought to a position that is level with the tabletop. |
