The
Direct Image Projection coupler system positions the camera
CCD chip where the microscope intermediate image is located.
This provides a low profile, more compact system. The system
is parfocal with proper microscope set-up.
Most Direct Image Projection series couplers have a C-mount
camera adapter. For Olympus BX, AX series microscopes, a
Sony 1/2" bayonet, non-Sony 1/2" bayonet, Nikon
"F" mount and Canon EOS mount are available (in
no-lens 1.0x versions only). For a wider field of view,
a 0.50x (for 1/2" CCD) and 0.63x (for2/3" CCD)
reduction lens are available for all C-mount versions of
the Direct Image Projection Series. No-lens versions are
also available which provide a 1.0x magnifications.
The
Direct Image Projection couplers are ordered as one part,
specific for a range of microscopes. They do not utilize
"Bottom Clamps" as do the HR/HRP/HRD video couplers.
