MultiProbe
is an IPLab Extension module with a number of tools to aid
in the processing and visualization of multiple wavelength
and Fluorescence in situ Hybridization (FISH) image data.
Using MultiProbe, you can create a color image from as many
as 7 different images, merge them interactively, and adjust
the contrast and alignment of each image independently.
When merging images, a grayscale image plane may be used
for position-referencing with up to 6 additional color planes
layered on top. Variable RGB blending can also be used to
better identify areas of co-localization.
MultiProbe's measurement tool allows you to determine the
location of a probe on a chromosome.
Complete systems for multi-wavelength analysis are available,
including cameras, filter wheels, and all the software to
control the entire acquisition process.
MultiProbe-based imaging systems give you a unified software
and hardware system for the acquisition, visualization and
processing of Fluorescence in situ Hybridization (FISH)
image data.
These systems are built around unique software and hardware
products for PC and Macintosh computers. Image acquisition
can be accomplished with video or digital CCD cameras, which
provide low-light sensitivity for detection of faint fluorescent
probes. An automatic filter wheel is included for selection
of the excitation wavelength. Finally, IPLab software controls
the whole system, moving the filter wheel, capturing optimal
images using automatic exposure, and with the MultiProbe
Extension module, allowing you to visualize up to 6 different
wavelengths (plus one grayscale layer) at once to visualize
co-localization.
